Small-sized mouse-tailed bat is a species of bat that lives in the southern parts of Iran, Oman, United Arab Emirates, and limited parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.
Small Mouse-tailed Bats are insectivorous and feed primarily on small insects such as moths, beetles, and flies. They are nocturnal animals and are most active during the night when they hunt for their prey. They use echolocation to navigate and locate prey in the dark, emitting high-frequency sounds that bounce back to their ears, allowing them to determine the location, size, and distance of their prey.
The small mouse-tailed bat has a nearly unridged skull with small teeth and large cavities filled with fluid. They have poor flight endurance and fast fliers quickly become exhausted.
